Bea Millan-Windorski, 22, is a musician and dancer pursuing an honors degree in International Relations and History at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She aims to earn a Ph.D. in Southeast Asian Studies and International Public Affairs. Recognized with the Filipino-American Youth Political Leadership Award by the Philippine Embassy and multiple Foreign Language Area Studies Awards, Bea is also this year’s United States representative for Miss Earth. In her role, she plans to continue financial support for refugees, raise awareness about the struggles of displaced people, and advocate for adapting international law to address the climate crisis. Bea is a research assistant in the university’s Political Science department, focusing on the impact of religious institutions on elections in Southeast Asia. She is also a founding member of Amnesty International Wisconsin, dedicated to raising awareness about political prisoners worldwide. Beyond academics, Bea plays cello in the university orchestra, takes ballet and hip-hop classes, and enjoys board games with friends. Passionate about encouraging young people to engage in international affairs and environmental activism, she will compete in the 24th Annual Miss Earth competition in Southeast Asia this fall. --- Follow Bea: https://www.instagram.com/earthqueenbea/ Be more than just a queen.
