Hey there! I’m so glad you’re here.
My name is Adrian Kwan. I founded The Pageant Project nearly a decade ago, back in 2018. Since then, I’ve interviewed over 300 pageant contestants from around the world and coached women across nearly every major pageant system—including Miss Universe, Miss USA, Miss America, and many more.
I created this Substack because I was tired of the content creation grind and chasing ever-changing social media algorithms. I don’t know about you, but making clickbait just to get views (think: “pageant hot picks”) doesn’t exactly fill me with joy.
Instead, I wanted to build a space where I could share everything I’ve learned from years of coaching and hundreds—if not thousands—of conversations with contestants. This Substack lets me put all that knowledge in one place, in a format that’s easy for you to access whether you’re at home, on the go, or prepping for your next pageant.
Pro tip: Download the free Substack app. It makes reading, watching, and listening much easier—especially if you want to stream the content via Bluetooth while commuting or multitasking.
Free vs. Paid: What's the Difference?
You’ll notice that some content is locked for paid subscribers. Whilst I’m offering plenty for free—like pageant coaching tips and interviews with titleholders—I also wanted to create something deeper for those ready to take the next step.
Free subscribers get:
Pageant coaching tips
Interviews with titleholders
An ad-free viewing experience (unlike YouTube or Spotify)
Full access to the content archive
Paid subscribers get everything above, plus:
Mini-courses – Deep dives on topics like interview prep, sponsorship, and more
The ability to comment on posts and interact with me directly
Priority responses to your questions
More exclusive content for paid subscribers is on the way. All this comes at just $9.99/month or $97/year—for comparison, a single private coaching session with me is $197/hour.
Welcome again! If you have any questions or suggestions, feel free to leave a comment or email me directly at info@thepageantproject.com.
To your success—in pageantry and in life,
Adrian Kwan
